Cantando - Interest Survey (April 5-7, 2020 Edmonton)

Hello wonderful parents!
 
We’re planning a trip to the Cantando Festival in Edmonton for April 5-7 – in order to properly create a budget, we need an estimate on how many students will attend. Please fill out the following form (should take less than 45 seconds!) FORM HERE
 The details are still coming together – here’s what we know so far:

Cost: (Between $250-350)
Itinerary:

• Sunday
  • Depart Cochrane High Aprox. 12:30/1:00pm
  • Check in at Hotel – group dinner at Boston Pizza
  • Evening concert 8:00pm CHOOSE between choir/band performances ULeth Wind Ensemble + Prairie Fire Big Band OR UofA Madrigal Singers and Kokopelli Choir
• Monday – Performance and workshop day
  • Choir – Performance 10:00-10:20 and workshop at 5:00-5:50
  • Symphonic Band – Performance 1:20-1:40 and workshop at 3:00-3:50
  • Lots of time to watch other schools/groups perform!
  • Group Dinner (Location TBD)
  • 8:00pm – Winspear Centre main Stage concert! – Bok Brass
• Tuesday
  • Breakfast and hotel check out
  • Take in some school performances if time allows!
  • West Edmonton Mall! Students purchase their own lunch – time to explore. Students will get to choose between Galaxy Land and the WEM Waterpark
  • Bus Ride home (Home before 8:00pm)
• **Please note, there will be some time for homework spread throughout various free-time slots. Students should bring their material with them to work on missed class material.

 
We have had enough female chaperones come forward, we’re in need of at least one more male chaperone.

As always – if finances are a barrier for your child participating in this trip, please let one of us know and we’ll see what we can do to help – this is a valuable experience for our students (otherwise we wouldn’t be doing it!) – we want everyone to be able to join us!
