Tuesday, November 26, 2019 Music Update

Good afternoon music families,

Here are some of our updates for the upcoming weeks:

Wednesday, November 27, 2019 - CHOIR CONCERT

• Wednesday, Nov. 27th Choir - 7:00 pm at the Jubilee Auditorium (all performing choir students)
• 4:00 pm Dress Rehearsal at the Optimist - students will likely need to leave at the start of Conn3ct to arrive on time - teachers have been informed 
• More information has been sent out by Mr. Talen through email

Thursday, November 28, 2019 - JAZZ CONCERT/ Parent-Teacher Interviews 

• Thursday, Nov. 28th Jazz Concert – 7:00pm in CHS Theatre (all jazz ensembles at CHS will perform) – anyone else is welcome to attend! (Free!)
• Parent Teacher Interviews were also placed on this date – every day they looked to place the interviews had a conflict. If you’re looking to see teachers before the concert, you back book on the Conference Manager website - https://cochranehigh.schoolsoft.com/login.jsf it is currently open for bookings. 
• Students will need to be in the band room, in uniform, by 6:30pm for a group warm up.

Tuesday, December 12, 2019 - BAND/ CHOIR CONCERT

• Tuesday, Dec. 10th Christmas Concert – 7:00pm in CHS Gymnasium (All concert bands and our choir) – also free admission!
  • We’ll need student help the morning of the concert to set up – we need to lay out the matts, set up chairs, set up sound equipment, set up the staging/risers in the front, and bring the instruments over. We’ll start at 7:00am and need to be finished by 9:00am. If your child would be able to help, that would be greatly appreciated!
  • Students will need to be in the band room by 6:20 in uniform for pre-concert announcements, warm-up, and tuning.
  • We’ll also need help taking all the equipment down after the concert
